Coach Bert is completing her first year at Southwestern Florida State as a catcher and utility player. A graduate of Union Grove High School (Union Grove, WI), she earned back-to-back Offensive Player of the Year honors, as well as First Team All-County (2023/24), First Team All-Conference (2023), Second Team All-Conference (2024), and All-District Honorable Mention (2023). Coach Bert played for the Iowa Premier Gold team, bringing her elite playing experience to the Blitz Program. She focuses on player fundamentals, building a solid foundation for throwing, fielding, and catching. As a former pitcher, Coach Bert offers a unique perspective on the critical pitcher-catcher relationship and its importance in defensive play. “I am excited to teach younger generations about how much our sport is evolving every day and what I can do to help them excel at the next level,” says Coach Bert.
