All WSYBL rules apply unless otherwise noted below by Bigler Sports Fall Ball
1. Players will play two games per weekend with all games played on Sundays / 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, 3:30 PM (games times may be modified slightly so please check your schedules accordingly)
2. Games will be six innings in length (ties allowed). No new inning may start after 1 hour 40 minutes. If a new inning is started before the 1 hour and 40 minute mark, the inning will be played to completion. If after that the game is still tied, it ends in a tie.
3. There will be a 15 run mercy rule in 4 innings, and a 10 run mercy rule after 5 innings.
4. Base and pitching dimensions are as follows:
• Ages 8 & 9 & 10 will play 60’ bases and 46’ pitching distance
~ 8/9 can steal after it crosses plate
~ 9/10 can steal after it leaves pitchers hand
-On games that involve 8/9 team and a 9/10 team the coaches and umpire will need to agree on which steal rule they want to use. This will be discussed and resolved at the plate meeting.
-No dropped 3rd strike
• Ages 11 & 12 will play 70’ bases and 50’ pitching distance (lead‐offs and stealing allowed anytime.)
• Ages 12 (playing up) through 14 will play 90’ bases and 60’6” pitching distance (lead‐offs and stealing allowed anytime)
5. Continuous batting order and free substitution will be used
6. Pitchers’ pitching limit is 6 consecutive outs per game.
7. Teams may only go once through the batting order up to a maximum of 12 players per inning. If 3 outs have not been recorded after the 12th hitters at‐bat has been completed the inning is over. (For example, if one team has 11 on their bench and the other has 10 on their bench, both teams would hit a maximum of 11 players that game in any given inning)
*No intentional walks
8. Each team (time permitting) may have up to five minutes on field before their respective game
9. There are no set dates for player eligibility in Bigler Fall Ball. Whatever age level season you just completed is the age level you are eligible for in our league. (For example, if you played U10 this past summer, you may play in our U9/10 league this fall. We strongly recommend that you play
up, especially if you have just completed your U10 or U12 seasons so that you can now get ready to play on the bigger field dimensions next spring. However, that decision is up to you)
