Collin Yelich is a Westlake Village local who grew up playing on the varsity team at Westlake High School in California. After graduation he attended Sam Houston State University where he played Division 1 baseball. Yelich was then drafted by the Atlanta Braves and played for their league organization before transferring to the Miami Marlins. Collin is the brother of the NL MVP and All-Star Christian Yelich.
