Griffin Doersching is currently in his third year of Professional Baseball with the San Diego Padres Organization.  He was drafted in the 8th round of the 2022 MLB draft after finishing the season with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, where he was the primary cleanup hitter known for his power and consistency at the plate.  He was a first-team All-Big-12 player selection even though he missed 6 weeks after breaking a bone in his foot 6 games into the season.  He became a bit of a viral sensation while at OSU after he belted a homerun 513 ft that cleared the 70ft high scoreboard in left field. Griffin played his first 3 years of eligibility at Northern Kentucky University where he was All-conference in all 3 seasons.  He holds the single season Homerun Record hitting 20 home runs in 2021 and finished second all-time on the school’s homerun list.
Griffin played 2 summers of college summer baseball as part of the Northwoods League for the Lakeshore Chinooks where he also became the clubs career homerun record leader.  In 2021 he was crowned the Northwoods league homerun derby champion.
In 2019 Griffin was also crowned the College World Series Homerun Derby Champion when he crushed 51 homeruns in the 3 round contest beating guys from Duke, Olé Miss, Kentucky, Cal-Berkley and Wake Forest. (watch the highlights here –
